POLOCIES AND PROCEDURES:

The Fitness Center management has established a variety of policies and procedures to ensure the members have a good experience. If you have any questions regarding our policies and procedures, please don't hesitate to contact the Fitness Center management at Jillian@homesteadfitness.com .

  1. Every member must scan their fitness ID before using the facility. Use of another persons ID to gain access to the Fitness Center will result in immediate suspension of membership of the person sharing their ID.

  2. Please treat everyone respectfully! If you are disrespectful to staff, other members, or equipment and the facility, we have the right to suspend or terminate your membership immediately.

  3. Proper attire must be worn while using the fitness center. This includes clean, enclosed shoes while using the gym (socks may be worn while lifting; at your own risk and in your workout space only) and athletic clothing. Swim suites must be worn while using the pool/spas. A towel or clothing must be worn while using the saunas.

  4. Beverages are allowed in non-breakable containers. Bars and other small food items may be eaten at the front desk area, but not allowed inside the gym, pool area, or childcare.

  5. Whenever a fire alarm is sounded, immediate evacuation of the building is the appropriate response. If there is a fire alarm while you are using the facilities, you must immediately leave the center through the nearest exit door and remain outside until it has been announced that it is safe to enter the center.

  6. If you have the flu, a cold, or any other contagious illness, please do not use the Fitness Center. Using the Fitness Center with a contagious illness puts you and all other members at risk.

  7. Any member who incurs an injury or becomes dizzy/ill while using the center should immediately contact a Fitness Center staff person for assistance. A first aid kit is kept at the front desk for minor injuries. In cases requiring more extensive first aid, fitness center staff will contact the appropriate persons for assistance.

  8. Articles lost in the facility are kept at the front desk for 2 weeks and then donated. The fitness center is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles or for any items left at the front desk while you are at the facility.

  9. For the courtesy of all Fitness Center members and for safety reasons, all lifters MUST re-rack their own dumbbells and weight plates after they have finished using them. You must put away anything you used back to its designated area. Continued failure to abide by this Fitness Center policy will lead to the suspension or termination of your membership.

  10. You must treat all equipment with respect. You may not drop any weights unless they are bumper plates. Treat the equipment like it is your own. Any abuse to the equipment will result in the termination of your membership.

  11. This is a family facility. Please do not use offensive language or wear offensive clothing.

  12.  Equipment must be wiped down after use (this includes saunas and massage chairs). Disinfectant spray and towels are available at the front desk area.

  13. During times of inclement weather, the Fitness Center will make every effort to remain open. There may be times, however, that a staff member is unable to make a shift due to weather conditions and the Fitness Center will be closed.

  14. All unexpected updates/changes to class schedules, pool schedule, and gym hours will be posted on our social media accounts (Instagram and Facebook).

  15.  Children under the age of 10 are prohibited from using the gym unless they are going to a kids class. Ages 10-13 years old will have partial access to the gym, as long as they are accompanied by an adult (18 years+) at all times and are in direct contact with them. Ages 14+ may use the entire facility. Children 3 months – 9 years old may use the childcare during childcare hours.

  16. Pool Rules: Our pool/spa rules are following WA state law. These rules are subject to change if WA state law changes.

  • Adult swim is for ages 17 years and older (ID required).

  • Children under the age of 17 years old must swim during designated family swim time ONLY (while a lifeguard is on duty).

  • No one under the age of 17 years old is allowed in the pool area unless it is family swim time or unless you have a private lesson with a HFIT swim instructor.

  • Running, jumping, diving, and reckless behavior is not allowed for safety reasons.

  1. Per WA state law, no one under the age of 18 years old is allowed to use the tanning beds.

  2. Failure to abide by any of the club rules will result in suspension/termination.
